Course content development and training to drive recruitment for the University of Nottingham
The challenge:
The University of Nottingham had already adopted an insight-led, user-focused approach to designing its content but, recognising the key role of course content in driving domestic and international recruitment, saw the need to overhaul its course pages.
What we delivered:
To take the University of Nottingham's course content to the next level, we embarked on a comprehensive review of their existing research, user insights, and content strategy, alongside their brand guidelines.
A smarter approach to course content
This allowed us to craft a revised course template that meticulously addressed section headings, hierarchy, and user needs tailored to prospective student archetypes, while ensuring compliance with CMA regulations and coherence with the university’s brand pillars.
5-star copywriting training
Additionally, we delivered a bespoke full-day copywriting workshop for the communications and content team. The training was designed to elevate their skills in creating clear, concise, and engaging content that resonates with prospective students, focusing on effective structuring and trustworthy communication. The session was well-received, with participants unanimously rating it as 'outstanding'. This narrative-driven approach not only refreshed the course pages but also empowered the university team to continue delivering high-quality content.
Pickle Jar’s exceptional facilitator, skillfully tailored the session to our specific needs, ensuring its effectiveness. The training covered all essentials including understanding our users' needs and crafting clear, compelling, and concise copy. The team thoroughly enjoyed the session, finding it invigorating and confidence boosting. Thanks for an outstanding workshop!
